What is the Right-to-Use plan?

Under a Right-to-Use Plan, ownership of the resort remains with the developer. The purchaser reserves the right to use one or more resort accommodations for a specified number of years, ranging typically from 10 to 50 years, after which all rights to use return to the developer. These plans come in a variety of forms; most commonly as Club membership. As a QVI Club member, the Diamond and Platinum membership is for a full 30 years and the Gold membership is on an alternate year Right-to-Use Plan for 30 years.
-

What is a floating time week?

Floating time weeks refer to the use of vacation accommodations usually within a certain season of the year, often within a three to four month period such as spring or summer. The owner must reserve his or her desired vacation time in advance, with reservation confirmation typically provided on a first-come, first-served basis. According to a recent study, approximately 65% of Holiday Membership accommodations in the world are sold as floating time.
-

What are split weeks?

Split weeks are popular with members who prefer shorter holidays as this gives the consumer the option to split the use into two separate visits to a resort; such as a three-night stay and a four-night stay at different times of the year. Reservations are usually granted on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability.
-

What is biennial membership?

Biennial membership, or alternate year membership, allows use of a resort membership product every other year and costs less than annual membership at comparable resorts. Biennial membership is an excellent holiday option for families whom are unable to take a vacation every single year. In the QVI Club, the Gold membership is a biennial plan.
